Questions people ask
Does Pacevane record when the timer is stopped?
No. Screenshots, activity and app usage are only recorded while a person has a timer running. When they stop it, nothing is captured.
Can we switch screenshots off, or blur them?
Yes. Screenshots can be off for the whole workspace or for individual people, and they can be blurred so text is unreadable while still showing what kind of work was on screen.
Which computers does the tracker support?
Windows 10 and 11, macOS 12 and later (Apple silicon and Intel) and Linux as an AppImage.
How does the free trial work?
You get the full product for the trial period with no payment details. When it ends, choose a plan to continue; your data is kept.
Do people see their own data?
Yes. Each person sees their own timesheet, activity and screenshots, and can delete a screenshot if your workspace allows it. Managers see their team; admins see the workspace.
Is there a per-user price?
Yes, every plan is priced per user per month, paid monthly or yearly, one period at a time. There is no long contract.
